MJ Quinn, through the Energy and Infrastructure division, was hired by Abbey Multi-Academy Trust to install photovoltaic systems in 8 schools across the country, contributing to the decarbonisation process.
The project entrusted to the MJ Quinn teams involved installing heat pumps for the production of hot water and heating buildings, upgrading the entire LED lighting system and installing photovoltaic systems.
As part of the public sector decarbonisation scheme, Abbey Multi-Academy Trust has received government funding to reduce the carbon emissions produced by its eight schools across England. It is estimated that thanks to the new technologies installed by MJ Quinn, 9,156 tonnes of carbon emissions will be reduced and thousands of euros saved annually.
MJ Quinn “is proud to contribute to decarbonisation. As a company, we recognize the importance and we are committed to protecting human health and the environment”, says Alan O'Prey, executive director of Grupo Visabeira in the United Kingdom.
