In June, Constructel Visabeira began this major contract for constructing the optical fibre network in the cities of Temse and Kuibeke, in Belgium, after being chosen by the FiberKlaar company to carry it out.
This is the first project for this new customer, who placed its trust in the company, currently one of the main European players in telecommunications network engineering.
This construction of the optical fibre network will allow for 19,700 homes to be connected over the next two years, granting access to the latest internet generation.
It is even foreseen that, at the end of this year, the first customers will already have access to this improvement in digital communications.
At the launch of the project, there was unanimity in terms of its importance. Both FiberKlaar managers and the mayors of the cities involved recognized the added value of implementing this project, which aims to improve the quality of life for the communities covered.
Present at this symbolic act were, among others, FiberKlaar´s CEO, Rik Missault; Hugo Maes, mayor of Temse; Dirk Van Ketelaere, councillor for public works in Kuibeke; Arnaud Cuylen, project director at FiberKlaar; Kristof Van Laere, director of OMV Natie (a Constructel company partner in this project) and José Cardoso Pereira, head of Constructel Belgium.
It should be noted that at the moment Constructel Visabeira, in addition to this contract, has construction of networks to serve another 20 thousand homes within the Flanders region in its portfolio, all FiberKlaar projects, which are considered strategic for the region and for Belgium overall.
