A GALP inaugurou o Parque Fotovoltaico de Alcoutim, no Algarve, que constitui, para já, o maior investimento da empresa no que toca à energia solar em Portugal. Este projeto foi construído pela subsidiária da Constructel Visabeira, Visabeira Infraestruturas, e pela Jayme da Costa, duas empresas do Grupo Visabeira.

O ato, que foi presidido pelo ministro do Ambiente e Ação Climática, Duarte Cordeiro, contou com a presença do Presidente da Câmara de Alcoutim, Osvaldo Gonçalves, do Presidente Executivo da Galp, Filipe Crisóstomo Silva, e do Vice-Presidente Executivo de Renováveis da Galp, Georgios Papadimitriou.

Fernando Daniel Nunes, administrador da Constructel Visabeira e do Grupo Visabeira, e Luís Miguel Figueiredo, Business Manager para a área da Energia da Constructel Visabeira e administrador da Visabeira Global, a maior holding do Grupo Visabeira, estiveram presentes na cerimónia de inauguração oficial.

O parque, que constituiu um investimento superior a 70 milhões de euros e ocupa uma área de 250 hectares, é formado por quatro centrais fotovoltaicas, com 252.532 painéis solares fotovoltaicos e três linhas elétricas de média tensão, para interligação à REN - Rede Elétrica Nacional.

De acordo com a Galp, dona do projeto, cujos trabalhos foram iniciados no verão de 2021, este parque solar fotovoltaico tem uma capacidade de produção de eletricidade anual estimada de 250 mil megawatts-hora, o suficiente para fornecer energia renovável a mais de 80 mil famílias e evitar a emissão de 75 mil toneladas de CO2 por ano.

A Visabeira Infraestruturas e a Jayme da Costa foram responsáveis pelo projeto de engenharia, montagem e instalação dos painéis solares fotovoltaicos e restante equipamento eletromecânico, incluindo todos os trabalhos de construção civil e eletromecânicos, bem como as linhas de distribuição em média tensão entre o parque e a subestação de Alcoutim. Esta empreitada envolveu cerca de duzentos técnicos de várias especialidades.

O know-how das duas empresas, nas mais diversas especialidades de engenharias envolvidas na construção do Parque Solar de Alcoutim, foi decisivo para a escolha por parte da Galp, que confiou este grande desafio ao consórcio.

GALP inaugurated the Alcoutim Photovoltaic Park in the Algarve, which currently represents the company's largest investment in solar energy in Portugal. This project was built by the Constructel Visabeira subsidiary, Visabeira Infraestruturas, and Jayme da Costa, both companies within Grupo Visabeira.

The event, presided over by the Minister of Environment and Climate Action, Duarte Cordeiro, was attended by the Mayor of Alcoutim, Osvaldo Gonçalves, the CEO of GALP, Filipe Crisóstomo Silva, and the Executive Vice President of Renewables at GALP, Georgios Papadimitriou.

The park, with an investment exceeding 70 million euros and spanning an area of 250 hectares, consists of four photovoltaic plants, comprising 252,532 photovoltaic solar panels and three medium-voltage power lines for connection to REN - Rede Elétrica Nacional.

According to GALP, the project owner, whose works began in the summer of 2021, this photovoltaic solar park has an estimated annual electricity production capacity of 250 thousand megawatt-hours, enough to supply renewable energy to more than 80 thousand households and avoid the emission of 75 thousand tons of CO2 per year.

Visabeira Infraestruturas and Jayme da Costa were responsible for the engineering, assembly, and installation of the photovoltaic solar panels and other electromechanical equipment, including all civil and electromechanical construction works, as well as the medium-voltage distribution lines between the park and the Alcoutim substation. This endeavor involved approximately two hundred technicians from various specialties.

The expertise of the two companies in various engineering specialties involved in the construction of the Alcoutim Solar Park was crucial for GALP's choice, which entrusted this major challenge to the consortium.
